Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) documents summarize important information about our health coverage options in a standard format developed by the Department of Health and Human Services. Your clients can use SBCs to easily compare benefits and coverage offered by Kaiser Permanente and other carriers.

Responsibility for distribution of SBCs

Under the Affordable Care Act, your clients are required to provide SBCs to participants and beneficiaries of the Kaiser Permanente plans they offer. SBCs can be provided in either a paper or electronic format.
