We’re excited to announce that our new Kaiser Permanente Plus (KP Plus) plans are now available for your small and large group clients in Oregon and Washington (Clark & Cowlitz Counties) for the 2023 plan year.
KP Plus gives your clients’ employees access to high-quality care from Kaiser Permanente and affiliated providers, along with the flexibility to get care from out-of-network providers for a limited number of services each year.
With KP Plus, your clients’ employees get access to Kaiser Permanente physicians and specialists in Oregon and SW Washington, all of whom are connected to their patients’ electronic health record, helping them coordinate the care journey.
Your clients’ employees also get the lowest out-of-pocket costs compared to care with out-of-network providers and there are no claims to file when they get care with a Kaiser Permanente physician.
Our focus on making the care experience more convenient for our members also helps your clients’ employees. As you know, most medical offices offer many services conveniently under one roof, including pharmacy, imaging, lab, and primary care physicians or specialists. Members can access quality care from wherever they are by utilizing services like e-visits, scheduled phone and video visits, emailing their doctor, and our mail-order pharmacy.
What makes KP Plus different is that your clients’ employees can receive care from any licensed care provider in the country, up to 10 physician or covered outpatient medical services each year. If they have a provider they’re already familiar with, they don’t have to switch. Their visits will still be covered, as long as they don’t exceed the annual service limit.
Members will still also have a Kaiser Permanente primary care physician, who they can choose or change any time, to coordinate their in-network care.
Some services are not covered out-of-network, such as inpatient services, outpatient surgery, maternity care, advanced imaging, dental care, and vision care.
