Kaiser Permanente has launched an Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) experience in partnership with HealthSherpa to help you enroll and renew KPIF On-Exchange clients in Virginia with ease!

Kaiser Permanente’s EDE site can help you quickly and easily:

• Run a quote
• Submit applications
• Renew/update plans for clients enrolled on HealthCare.gov
• Manage your book of business
• And more!
   

Visit the exchange website to submit your client’s On-Exchange application:

• Maryland: Maryland Health Connection
• Washington D.C.: DC Health Link

Use the Sign Me Up (SMU) tool (kp.org/applyonline) to submit your client’s Off-Exchange application. Note: DC coverage is only available through the Exchange.

• First-time users register here for a broker account.
• Sign in under your broker account, and from your dashboard you can create a new quote, create a personalized landing page (PURL) to send to your client to start the online application, or download a paper application if your client prefers to complete the application that way.
• By logging in to your dashboard and starting the application this way, your Kaiser Permanente agent number is automatically tied to the application, and you are set up as the broker of record.
• The Sign Me Up (SMU) tool allows you to track your client’s application status for Off-Exchange applications submitted through the site, giving you more visibility into the process.
• If your client prefers to complete a paper application, you can fax or mail it to the address on the application.
  • Note – If you’re working with a general agent, please submit the materials to your general agent.
  • Reminder – Make sure the application is complete, signed and includes the first month's premium payment. If the application is incomplete or does not include the first month's payment it may delay the enrollment effective date, or the application may be canceled.
